The natural qualities of pumice give soil mixes access to good drainage and great aeration, perfectly suited for health roots. Our Coarse Grade Pumice is sifted to give you just the right size for proper aeration and mixing. Highly recommended.

Our bonsai pumice is locally sourced from Matamata, New Zealand.

For deciduous trees, we recommend using a 50/50 Inorganic to Organic mix, and for conifers we recommend a 70/30 Inorganic to Organic mix.

Organic ingredient include aged pine bark, compost or potting mix.

Inorganic ingredients include Pumice, Scoria, or Akadama clay.
